An evaluation is successful when you understand the decision, including the option to stop. These questions are for that conversation. They are not a score, and they do not make you a candidate.

Take these with you

  1. What did my hearing-aid trial show, in words rather than only in a chart?
  2. Why this ear, the other ear, or both?
  3. Who is on the team after surgery, and in which building do the mapping visits happen?
  4. What will voices sound like while I am learning the device?
  5. What are the risks that matter for my scan and my health, not a generic list?
  6. What does follow-up cost in time, even if we are not publishing a fee here?
  7. What happens if I decide not to go ahead?

Write the answers down, or bring someone to write them. The visit contains more than most people remember on the way home.
